~,tv,w I~.!'~ <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> A OMi'\ <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 365 0'7 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S). <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney and the Hawaii Police Department <br /> believe it is in the best interest of both agencies to have a committed, or permanent community <br /> violence coordinator; and <br /> WHEREAS, a coordinator would ensure that all agencies, government and non- <br /> government, that respond to domestic violence, create a strategic response to the problem; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Council is committed to addressing the domestic <br /> violence problem; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Community Violence Coordinator will be part of a Domestic Violence <br /> Interagency Team consisting of police, hospitals, the Judiciary, the Office of the Prosecuting <br /> Attorney, nonprofit organizations, religious organizations, and community members to assist in <br /> reducing the high domestic violence rate in Hawaii County; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to <br /> the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to be used for the Community Violence Coordinator <br /> position; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: GENERAL <br /> <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> <br /> APPROPRIATION: $5,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $5,000 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.271.5271.01 Office of the Prosecuting Attorney $5,000 <br /> Prosecuting Attorney S&W <br /> (Community Violence Coordinator Position) <br /> <br />
