RE: A Resolution to Authorize the Lpasi~of Real Property for the Elections Division
of the Office of the County Clerk (Unit A-1 and Unit A-2 of Phase I of the Hilo
Iron Works Building)
Please find for your consideration an attached resolution to authorize the payment of funds of a
later fiscal year and more than one fiscal year for two (2) multi-year leases of real property at the
Hilo Iron Works building (TMK - 3-2-2-0130) for the Elections Division of the Office of the
County Clerk. The resolution authorizes the lease of Unit A-1 and Unit A-2 of Phase I of the
Hilo Iron Works building.
Unit A-1 and Unit A-2 of the Hilo Iron Works building would serve as the main office for the
Elections Division of the Office of the County Clerk.

RE: Resolution No. ~~g_m :Authorizing the Payment of Funds of a Later Fiscal Year
and More than One Fiscal Year for two (2) Multi-Year Leases of Real Property for the Office of
the County Clerk -Elections Division (Hilo Iron Works Unit A-1 and Unit A-2).
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawai"i, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Finance Committee to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing this
matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and the
matter placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request is
denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Finance Committee
for placement on its future agenda.
