HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOM 0376.014 2006-2008 October 2, 2007 Council members: We are writing to you as voting members of our community. Because we are working health professionals, we are unable to make the public city council hearings during the currently scheduled times. That is why we are submitting this letter. We would like to address the parking situation at 82 Pu'uhonu Place. We feel the parking situation affects the patients, many who are elderly, injured, or disabled. The additional parking lot would certainly alleviate the parking crunch which currently exists. Many of the employees at 82 Pu'uhonu Place are already parking on the road outside of the property in order to free up parking spaces for the patients. We are also concerned about accusations that the employees who were using the additional parking lot were, "turning tricks", "doing drugs", "burning out with their cars", "blasting the car stereos", "shining car lights into house", etc. We are responsible members of this community, who many people entrust with their health care. We are sorry certain people feel they need to make such accusations. The property is next to a very busy road, Komohana. It is also located directly across from a 24 hour facility, the prison. We hope the council will also take this into consideration. Sincerely, p~'` ~,.__~G~ierJ _ /CAUH~Onia h~~-~r=-~cX l~rk,~d,~,~tcd~al i_t~ ~a.~,aKa~o}~ J ( Ff-n/E ~ G t_k. ~/~r.~orC?
