This is the environmentally preferable way of handling our trash. We need to recycle as much as possible and not be burning it and polluting our beautiful Hawaiian skies. The winds occasionally blow volcanic pollution our way and Hilo gets "vogged" in and the skies get real grey, people start getting headaches and feeling sick. Imagine the result when incinerator emissions get combined with that. Even if you decide we have to burn some of the waste, please keep it to the minimum and support this recycle facility to handle our trash as much as possible.
