Subject: Wal-Marton Hawaiian Homelands property
Council members;
The subject of allowing a "BIG" Wal-Mart on the Hawaiian Homelands
property make me ask three questions:
1. Who governs the county and makes the laws, including Zoning? The elected county
officials or is it the Hawaiian Homeland administrators or is it the Wal-Mart company
executives?
2. If the store is on Hawaiian Homelands property will there be any property tax paid to the
county?
3. With all the years they have had to make affordable homes available to the native
Hawaiians......The people at the Hawaiian Homelands have not got the job done...just a lot of
excuses and continued paychecks......What will change other than local businesses going
out of business?
Allowing a Wal-Marton Hawaiian Homelands property will harm the county and it's
residents. The store must not be allowed on Hawaiian Homelands property.
