A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO
A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Keaukaha One Youth Development has requested fends to conduct a
new program to benefit the children of East Hawaii, principally in the Keaukaha/Pana`ewa
area; and
WHEREAS, this afternoon program (activities) is designed to fight the use of alcohol
and hazd drugs that aze a serious problem in these neighborhoods; and
WHEREAS, the afternoon program (activities) is designed to combat obesity in
Hawai`i's children; and
WHEREAS, Keaukaha One Youth Development will coordinate various after-school
activities with these children to teach them cultural activities connected with healthful living,
ocean activities, and historical practices designed to give children a better sense of self worth;
and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated
to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to be used towards the Keaukaha One Youth
Development program; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Prosecuting Attorney and the Director of Finance and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
