Re: Resolution Transferring Contingency Relief Funds (Council District 1)
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to the Department of Parks
and Recreation, Recreation Division OCE, to defray the cost of repairs to the temporary location of
the Pa`auilo Senior Center at the Pa`auilo Community Field office. The repairs includes the
purchasing and installation of two toilets, repair door, paint, construction of a cement walkway at the
entrance to the center and the bathroom, and other necessary materials as needed.
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the transfer of $1,700 from the Clerk-Council Services-
Contingency Relief account to the following account and project:

RATIONALE: These improvements will make facility better for senior citizens who
are temporar' y utilizing the Paauilo Community Field Office during the closure of
of the Paau" Annex. Paauilo Annex has been closed since th 10/ 5/06 earthquake.

RE: Resolution No: 388-07 Resolution Transferring/Appropriating an Appropriation
Out and From the Designated Fund Account(s) and Creditinging Same to a Designated
Fund Account(s).
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Committee on Finance to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing
this matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and
the matter placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request is
denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Committee on
Finance for placement on its future agenda.
