We welcome the mega stores and believe the market place will determine the need and <br /> survival of such stores. Had this ban been in place, we'd have no Costco, no Wal-Mart, no Kmart, etc. We <br /> islanders are forced to order over the Internet and pay costly shipping costs or go to Oahu. These mega stores <br /> do voluminous research before committing to building in a region. The bottom line is that if the customers and the <br /> demand are not there, they will not build. However, if the customers and the demand are there....you and the <br /> <br /> council are preventing us from getting the merchandise we desire in our own neighborhood.
