A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Hawaiian Pazadise Park Emergency Notification and Education Team
(HPP ENET) ensures the safety and welfare of the residents of Hawaiian Paradise Park during
times of disaster, including tsunamis, hurricanes, seismic events, fires, or lava flow; and
WHEREAS, HPP ENET seeks to establish a system to alert residents of a disaster, to
notify first responders if there is a special needs resident in need of evacuation, and to assist first
responders in evacuating special needs residents if cazegivers or family members or first
responders are unable to do so; and
WHEREAS, HPP ENET, which assists in community education, planning and
preparedness, along with assisting local authorities, is in need of a tent, two folding tables, six
vinyl chairs, two lanterns; a first aid kit, 20 magnetic signs, and a storage shed; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be
appropriated to the Civil Defense Agency to provide financial assistance to the Hawaiian
Paradise Park Owners Association for HPP ENET to purchase equipment; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall fonvazd a copy of this
resolution to the Civil Defense Administrator and the Director of Finance and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
