Your Committee on Human Services and Economic Development, to which was referred
Bill No. 152, reports as follows:
Bill No. 152, transmitted by Councilmember Emily I. Naeole, via Communication
No. 611, dated August 20, 2007, amends Chapter 2, Article 25, Section 2-142 of the
Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), relating to records, reporting,
and fiscal accountability requirements.
Bill 152 requires nonprofit organizations to submit written reports to the County Council,
rather than the Legislative Auditor.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Human Services and Economic Development is in accord with the
purpose and intent of Bill No. 152, and recommends it pass first reading.
