Your Committee on Human Services and Economic Development, to which was referred
Res. 313-07, reports as follows:
Res. 313-07, transmitted by Councilmember Emily Naeole, via Communication
No. 619, dated August 13, 2007, is a resolution acknowledging domestic violence as a
problem that needs to be both claimed and addressed by the community.
Councilmembers expressed the need to enhance services and attention to this significant
problem on Hawaii Island.
Your Committee on Human Services and Economic Development is in accord with the
purpose and intent of Res. 313-07, and recommends its adoption.
