Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred
Resolution 315-07, reports as follows:
Resolution 315-07, transmitted via Communication No. 621, dated August 8, 2007, from Assistant
Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase, authorizes the acceptance of dedication of Lot 6-B, being a
portion of Tax Map Key: (3)2-2-050:008, situated at Waiakea, District of South Hilo, from
Edward K. Hirayama and Dianne S. Hirayama, Trustees, to the County of Hawaii.
Edward K. Hirayama and Dianne S. Hirayama, Trustees of the Edward K. Hirayama Revocable
Living Trust, are desirous of dedicating the subject parcel, including all improvements to the County
of Hawai `i.
Article XIII, § 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council may accept gifts which
include the dedication of land on behalf of the County of Hawaii.
Your Committee heard from Assistant Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase that all roadway and
sidewalk improvements, as required by change of zone ordinance, has been constructed.
Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Resolution 315-07, and recommends is adoption.
