Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Biil No. 174, reports as follows:
Bill No. 174, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 330-07 by Director of Finance
William Takaba, via Communication No. 660, dated September 4, 2007, amends Ordinance
No. 07-82, as amended, the Operating Budget, ending June 30, 2008. The amendment is as
follows:

3305.46 State Grants - Pahoa Weed & Seed General $67,325
To:
010.201.5216.20 Pahoa Weed & Seed General $67,325
Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, requires that county departments obtain the
consent of the Council to expend and receive any funds or other assistance from the Federal or
State governments in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to any powers
granted by law.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 174, and
recommends it pass first reading.
