Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 178, reports as follows:
Bill No. 178, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 343-07 and Resolution No. 344-07, by
Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No. 681, dated September 14, 2007,
amends Ordinance No. 07-82, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County of Hawaii,
ending June 30, 2008. The amendment is as follows:

010.221.5221.31 Rescue Equipment -Private General $50,423
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the Council,
on behalf of the County, may accept gifrs or donations of money, securities, or other personal
property oc real estate or any interest in real estate.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 178, and
recommends it pass first reading.
