that will more successful!}~ serge the needs of those n ho line and tt~ork teithin them. Such
planning should adhere to certain fundamental principles.
CO>.Lt.It\IT~' PR]NCIPLES
1. .all planning should be in the form of complete and integrated communities containing
housing, shops. workplaces. schools. parks and civic facilities essential to the daily life of the
residents.
2. Community size should be designed so that housin=. jobs. daily needs and other actit itiesare
ti ithin easy t~ alking distance of each other.
3. as man}' actit tries as possible should be located tcidun eas~,~ tt~alking distance of transit stops.
