Subject: Testimony in favor of Bill 175 Draft 3 and amendment to draft
I am very much in favor of Bill 175 because I do not think that a single planning
commission has been in tune with the different needs of all parts of the island in the
past nor is it appropriate for planning commission members who live on another side of the
island to be making decisions which often do not impact them. I am also in favor of the
amendment to draft 3 which will assure that not more than 2 members will be appointed from
any one district. This is just common sense.
