Re: Hawai'i Fire Department Donation _ CIO
Enclosed is a resolution accepting a monetary donation of $4,647 from HFM FBO
PruTimber Fund Three, 17700 SE Mill Plain Blvd., Suite 180, Vancouver, Washington
98683. HFM FBO PruTimber Fund Three, engaged in the business of timberland
management in the North Hilo region of Hawai'i Island, has donated the monies to
enhance the fire suppression capabilities of the volunteer fire companies in that area.
The Laupahoehoe and Pa'auilo Volunteer Fire Companies will equally share these
funds that have been designated to purchase fire suppression equipment and supplies.
Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating
the $4,647 monetary donation into the Fire Department's Various Fire Contributions -
Private account.

Prepare a resolution for the Hawaii County Council, on behalf of the County of Hawaii, to accept a donation
of $4,647.00 from HFM FBO PruTimber Fund Three.

B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
HFM FBO PruTimber Fund Three is engaged in the business of timberland management in the North Hilo
region of Hawai'i island. It has donated a sum of $4,647.00 to enhance the fire suppression capabilities of
the volunteer Fire companies in the area. One half each of the total, $2,323.50, has been designated to
purchase fire suppression equipment and supplies for the Laupahoehoe and Paauilo Volunteer Fire
Companies.
