Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 155, reports as follows:
Bill No. 155, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No. 624, dated
August 20, 2007, amends Ordinance No. 07-83, as amended, the Capital Budget, ending June 30, 2008, by adding
the following project:
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT:
NAS Swimming Pool Renovations 110.599.5592.18 $250,000
Funds for this project shall be provided from:
General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund - $250,000
Fund Balance and/or Other Sources
Pursuant to Section 10-6(d), Hawai`i County Charter, the Council may amend the Capital Budget for that year
with atwo-thirds vote.
Some members of Your Committee requested information regarding ownership of the pool and/or the land it sits
on.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 155, and recommends it pass first
reading.
