PUBLIC HEARING AND SITE VISIT

RESOLUTION 169-07 (COMM. 349)

Pursuant to HRS 92-7, notice is hereby given that a site visit and public hearing of the County Council's
Committee on Finance will be held in order to examine physical considerations and hear public
testimony regarding Resolution 169-07, Draft 2 (Comm. 349), which authorizes the Director of Finance
to enter into negotiations for the acquisition of Punalu`u Beach Park, Ninole pond and adjacent lands in
the District of Ka`u, pursuant to Chapter 2, Article 42, Hawaii County Code.
The Public Hearing will convene at 4:00 p.m. at the Punalu`u Black Sand Beach Park, Pavilion #I,
96-876 Government Road, District of Ka`u, where a site visit will be held.
The Public Hearing will recess after the site visit and will reconvene at 5:30 p.m. at the Na`alehu
Elementary School Gymnasium, 95-5545 Mamalahoa Highway, Na`alehu, at which time oral and
written testimony will be taken.
The meeting place is accessible for persons with disabilities. Persons who need special accommodations

Submitting Testimony: Those wishing to testify in person must register with the County Clerk's staff.
Those testifying in person and submitting written testimony at the meeting should bring Tfteen (15)
copies of the testimony for distribution. Testimony may also be submitted (1) by mail to the County

Notice to Lobbyists: If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawaii County Clerk within five
days of becoming a lobbyist {Article 15, §2-91.3(b), Hawaii County Code}. A lobbyist means "any
individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spends more than five hours in any month or $275
in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative action by
communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials." {Article 15, §2-91.3(a)(6),
