RE: A Bill to Establish a Tax Exemption for Properties Designated as
Kuleana Land.
Transmitted herewith is a bill for an ordinance that establishes a tax exemption for properties
designated as kuleana land. The bill proposes amending chapter 19, article 10, Hawaii County
Code (2005 Edition, as amended), by adding a new section titled "Kuleana land exemption" and
by inserting references to this new section in section 19-68, relating to "Claims for certain
exemptions" as appropriate.
A copy of the proposed bill is attached.
