Your Committee on Environmental Management, to which was referred Resolution 398-07
reports as follows:
Resolution No.398-07, transmitted by Assistant Corporation Council Gerald Takase, via
Communication No. 773, dated October 26, 2007, transmits a resolution authorizing the
acquisition of private property by eminent domain, being a portion of tax map key: (3)2-3-
043:005, situate at Kuknau, district of South Hilo, County and State of Hawaii, for the
construction of a sewer system upgrade.
fhe purpose of this resolution is to acquire the property for the Komohana Heights large capacity
cesspool replacement project.
Your Committee on Environmental Management is in accord with the purpose and intent of
Resolution No. 398-07 and recommends its adoption.
