Both individuals are from Council District 7, and their present terms will expire on December 31, 2007. They are both being reappointed for another four-year term to expire on December 31, 2011. Carol Kitaoka is a 51-year resident of Hawai'i. Since 1982, she has been a Deputy Prosecutor with the Hawai'i County Office of the Prosecuting Attorney in Kealakekua. Ms. Kitaoka states that she is a Democrat. Cathryn "Katie" Nova is a 12-year resident of Hawai'i. Since 1996, she has had her own private practice in individual, couples, group and family psychotherapy and psychological testing. She is a member of the American Association of University Women, the Hawai'i Psychological Association and a past member of Soroptimist International of Kona.
