Kapoho Vision Project

The University of Hawaii-Hilo proposes to undertake a comprehensive survey of the
Kapoho area as a first step in developing and implementing an effective
conservation/management plan for this important historical and recreational area.
Rough Budget components for a one year study:
1. Historical/cultural/archaeological survey of area ................................$25,000
2. Contemporary state-holder survey ....................................................$10,000
3. Recreational Users survey ...............................................................$10,000
4. Water Quality survey .....................................................................$30,000
5. UHH Student research interns (data collection), 2 @$8,500/yr..... $17,000
6. Project administration by UHH Keaholoa Program . ........................No Charge
7. Project sub-total .............................................................................$92,000
8. RCUH overhead (20%) ....................................................................$18,400
