Kona Vistas, LLC -Rezoning Time Extension Request
Ordinance No. 02-131
Tax Mau Key: 7-6-21:4, 9-13,15-17
As you ate aware, Kona Vistas, LLC, is currently in negotiations with 1250 Oceanside
Partners over the possible acquisition of the RM-5 zoned area covered by this ordinance. If
successful, the potential buyer intends to construct up to 150 affordable housing units on said
property. In that regard, it is our understanding that Final Plan Approval for this proposal was
issued on November 23, 2007, which was prior to the required deadline of November 27, 2007.
Should the sale be consummated, the requested time extension would be withdrawn, as we
believe that the condition to secure final plan approval would have been fulfilled. Alternatively, if "nnaulu
the sale does not go through, Kona Vistas may want to either accept the Plan Approval or proceed c°~^
with the requested time extension. "°^9 K^^9

The Plan Approval included a number of conditions relating to drainage. Accordingly, Seattle
1250 Oceanside Partners has requested additional time of Kona Vistas to investigate this issue s'^aav0fe
before making a final decision on the acquisition. rnaoana
Given the above and on behalf of Kona Vistas, LLC, we respectfully request that our time
extension request scheduled for December 12th be deferred to no sooner than the Commission's
February 2008 meeting. We hope this is possible.
