Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to submit the nomination of John W. Clark of
Puna to the Hawaii County Water Commission. Mr. Clark will be
replacing Malcolm R. Saxby of Puna, whose term of office
expired on December 31, 1997.
Mr. Clark is a 13-year resident of Hawaii, and since 1987 has
been the President of the Kilauea Restaurant Corporation,
(dba Fiascos Restaurant). He is presently the President of the
Big Island Chapter of the Hawaii Restaurant Association and a
Director of the Hawaii State Restaurant Association. In
addition, he sits as a member of the State Board of
Registration. He reports to have no membership to any
political party.
If approved, Mr. Clark will serve a terns which will end on
December 31, 2002. Should the Council need further information
regarding this submission, you may contact me at your
convenience.
