Rule No. 2, item 11, is deleted: "Videoconferencing of Meetings.
Videoconferencing may be implemented for regular Council meetings to reduce travel time
for the public and to facilitate public accessibility to and participation in Council
meetings."
Why is videoconferencing being removed from Rule No 2? Is the videoconferencing of Council
business being discontinued?
The principal change that is needed in videoconferencing of Council business is wider
accessibility than only Kona, Waimea, and Hilo.
Any reduction in the current level of accessibility to Council business is unacceptable.
