Re: Operating Budget
The U.S. Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration is providing a $20,000
Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) Program Grant to the Hawai'i
County Police Department. These funds will be used for overtime and travel costs incurred
by deputized officers during special investigations and prosecutions.
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the U.S.
Department of Justice for the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force Program
Grant.
Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating
this $20,000 grant.

To enter into a contract with the U.S. Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration to provide an
OCDEFT Grant.

The Hawaii County Police Department would like to enter into a contract with the U.S. Department of Justice
Drug Enforcement Administration entitled "OCDETF Grant."
This contract will provide funds for overtime and travel cost incurred by deputized officers during special
