RESOLUTION NO. hS8 OS
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY DONATION OF $68 TO THE
HAWAII FIRE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, Edward J. and Jan S. Comstock, in appreciation of the services provided by the Hawaii
Fire Department, is donating $68 to support emergency medical and rescue services; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this donation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii
accepts the $68.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent to Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Comstock,
Hale Kahakai, Unit 405, 2405 Kalanianaole Avenue, Hilo, Hawaii 96720, acknowledging this donation.
