Dear Chairman Hoffmann and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Ms. Sarah B. Moon of Council District 4 to the
County of Hawai'i Public Access, Open Space and Natural Resources
Preservation Commission. Ms. Moon, who is retired, is a 45-year resident of
Hawai'i.
Ms. Moon is presently the co-chair of the Sierra Club Moku Loa Group Outings.
She is also the Leleiwi Community Volunteer Coordinator, and the Volunteer
Technical Director of both the Hilo Chinese New Year Festival and the Hawai'i
World Heritage Festival. She states that she is not affiliated with any political
party. If confirmed, Ms. Moon will serve a term term to end on December 31,
2012, replacing Benedict Yung, whose term expired on December 31, 2007.
