No. 845 <br /> <br /> PLACE: Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa <br /> 78-128 `Ehukai Street <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 1:39 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 845, reports as follows: <br /> Communication No. 845, transmitted by William Takaba, Director of Finance, dated <br /> December 3, 2007, authorizes the acceptance of monetary donation from Mr. Hermann Fernandez to be <br /> used for materials and construction costs towards the completion of the Kamehameha Pazk Basketball <br /> courts. The value of this donation is $2,777.16. <br /> Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the County, <br /> may accept gifts or donations of personal property. <br /> Also, pursuant to Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(c), Hawaii County Code, any donation or gift <br /> which does not fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance shall be submitted <br /> to the Council by letter for its approval. <br /> A letter of appreciation will be sent to Mr. Hermann Fernandez at P. O.
