RESOLUTION NO. 496 OS
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, Elderly Activities Division, Special Programs provides individuals 55 years
and older with a variety of countywide, statewide, international events in recreation, sport events
(Senior Golf Tournaments, Kupuna Softball League & Tournaments & State Senior Softball
Tournament, State Senior Bowling Tournaments), health and leisure events (Wellness Fair),
performing arts events (Kupuna Hula Festival), and other activities countywide like the Kupana
Games, Holiday Bash, Senior Olympics, etc; and
WHEREAS, the goal of Elderly Activities Division, Special Programs, is to promote
health, wellness, and to assist the elderly to have busy active lives; and
WHEREAS the Elderly Activities Division has requested support and assistance in
purchasing various equipment items for the West Hawaii office; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation, Elderly Activities Division, Special Programs, to
purchase a Hewlett Packard 880c color inkjet printer and a Hewlett Packard 21001aser jet printer
to replace existing equipment that is not cost effective to repair; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Pazks and Recreation and the Director of Finance and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the
terms of this resolution.
