RESOLUTION NO. 497 08
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the key priorities of the North Kohala CDP, and in pazticulaz, the Growth
Management Focus Group, is the mapping, assessing and directing future land use for the North
Kohala region; and
WHEREAS, thanks to the joint effort of the members of the North Kohala community,
the North Kohala CDP, and the Hawaii Wildfire Management Organization, GIS (Geographic
Information System) maps were created in order to facilitate and accelerate in a more effective
way the recommendations and plans for future development areas; and
WHEREAS, this work is consistent with the Community Readiness Plan of the Kohala
CDP, and assists the Planning Department in providing accurate, state-of--the-art and user-
friendly maps to the entire Hawaii community; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to
the Planning Department to be used to print GIS maps in the North Kohala CDP; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this resolution
to the Planning Director and the Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance is hereby
authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
