SUBJECT: Proposed Ordinance to Amend the Hawaii County Code, Relating to
Prohibition of Smoking in Certain Places
Attached for your consideration is a proposed ordinance to amend chapter 14, article 4,
section 14-21 of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), relating to
prohibition of smoking in certain places.
The main purpose of this ordinance is to ban smoking of cigarettes or tobacco products, or
use of any tobacco products at all County parks and recreational facilities.
