RESOLUTION NO. 507 08
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Kona Adult Day Center, Inc. (KADC) is a private non-profit
organization providing impaired adults, their families, and other caregivers with an alternative to
premature institutionalization; and
WHEREAS, KADC offers acommunity-based and comprehensive program providing a
variety of social and related support services to a group of adult clients in a protected daytime
setting; and
WHEREAS, the geographic population served include the North and South Kona
judicial districts; and
WHEREAS, KADC provides services to adults who meet medical criteria such
Alzheimer's disease or related demential disorders, physical disabilities, stroke or Parkinson's
disease, mental challenge, or other stable chronic mental conditions; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to
the Office of Aging to provide financial assistance to the Kona Adult Day Center, Inc. to be used
for regular operational expenses; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Executive on Aging and Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance is
hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
