RESOLUTION NO. 514 DS
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program ("RSVP") provides a variety of
volunteer opportunities for retired and senior persons aged 55 years and older to participate more
fully in the life of their community through significant volunteer services; and
WHEREAS, the RSVP volunteers and staff are given a reimbursement for the mileage they
accrue monthly; and
WHEREAS, the RSVP program director has requested, due to a shortfall in their mileage and
auto allowance account, for supplemental funds in order to continue and provide mileage
reimbursements to the RSVP volunteers and staff for the duration of the 2007-2008 fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the
Department of Parks and Recreation to be used for the RSVP volunteers and staff mileage
reimbursements; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $5,500
CREDITED TO:
010.481.5482.02 Department of Parks and Recreation $5,500

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Finance and the Director of Parks and Recreation and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the
terms of this resolution.
