SUBJECT: Resolution Amending olution No. 44-07, Draft 2, to Extend the Temporary
Delay in Rezoning for the North Kohala District
Attached for your consideration is a resolution to amend Resolution No. 44-07, Draft 2, by
extending the sunset date relating to Council action on rezoning applications. Resolution No. 44-
07, Draft 2, called for the council to temporarily delay Council action on rezoning applications
that would permit transient lodging accommodations or re-designate agricultural land into zoning
districts with a minimum land area less than twenty (20) acres in size in the District of North
Kohala until the North Kohala Community Development Plan is adopted by ordinance, or
February 22, 2008, whichever shall occur first.
The attached resolution seeks to extend the termination date from February 22, 2008, to
December 1, 2008.
Please place this matter before the appropriate committee to meet on February 5, 2008.
