Greetings and aloha, council men and women, CPUNTl, t iF Fjf-rAlAtf
I live in Kapoho and I am writing to urge your support of Reso utions 462-08 and 463-08
concerning gmo free taro and coffee. Taro is the mans and sustainer of-life force of the
Hawaiian people ...and has been from the time of long ago ancestors. It is not right to
genetically modify a plant that is the life force and spirit of the people. It should not
be owned and modified. I appeal to your heart and sense of what is right and sacred and
urge you to support these resolutions. A ten year moratorium (at a minimum) is the
responsible and honorable thing to do. Just because "man" can figure out a way to do
something does not mean it is "right" to do it. Please, help us. Honor Hawaii ...the
