Arakaki, Chan j <br /> 1~. <br /> RE: Bi11202 relating to the Operating Budget <br /> After reviewing the State Legislature's actions on the County's budget and the Mayor's <br /> recommendations on the same, I would like to suggest that the Council adopt the Mayor's <br /> recommendations with minor changes. <br /> Passage of the State measures relating to Taxation, I{ealth Fund and Employees <br /> Retirement System will potentially result in a $492,000 gain for Fiscal Year 1998-99. I <br /> would propose setting aside $482,000 in a contingency relief account and the remaining <br /> $10,000 in anticipation of the appointment of a Charter Commission in 1999.
