' <br /> _tz n <br /> Hawaii County Council_ 00 <br /> o <br /> 25 Aupuni Street <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Dear Chairman Hoffmann and Members of the Council: <br /> Since our keiki are unable to be advocates for themselves, we, the Board, staff; and parents of Ka Hale O Na <br /> Keiki Preschool wish to thank you for recognizing the critically important job our school is doing for the <br /> children of the Hamakua Coast by your supporting Resolution #436-07. <br /> For our own County Council to recognize the grave importance of the Hamakua Coast having a preschool, <br /> and seeing that the future of Ka Hale O Na Keiki is insured by supporting Resolution #436-07 is both <br /> outstanding and commendable. Our Nation is just beginning to understand the importance of a quality early <br /> childhood education and the benefits that not only the child, but the entire community receives from such an <br /> education, including a higher percentage of high school graduates, lower crime rates, lower illegal drug use, <br /> and a lower rate of teenage pregnancy.
