RESOLUTION NO. 5'24 f98
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Kamehameha Park, part of the Kohala Parks and Recreation, has
requested the purchase of five ping pong tables; and
WHEREAS, ping pong clinics offered to constituents of all age groups have been very
successful in the past and has increased over time, leading to no less than 20 participants per
clinic night; and
WHEREAS, with currently only two ping pong tables, one of which is broken and in a
dire state, the clinics can not satisfy the increasing interest and participation of constituents; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation, to be used towards the purchase of five new ping pong
tables for Kamehameha Park, North Kohala; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAT`i that the
following amount be and is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and the Director of Finance and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the
terms of the resolution.
