Your Committee on Environmental Management, to which was referred Resolution No. 463-08.
reports as follows:
Resolution No. 463-08, was transmitted by Council Member Angel Pilago, via Communication
No.883, dated December 20, 2007, urging Council support for H.B.1577 H.DI.
The purpose of this resolution is to urge Council support for H.B. 1577 H.D.1 to temporarily
prohibit the growing of genetically modified coffee for a period of five yeazs and, at the same
time, permit research in an environmentally secure facility.
Your Committee on Environmental Management is in accord with the purpose and intent of
Resolution No.463-08, and recommends its adoption.
