Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 470-08, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 470-08, transmitted by Assistant Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase, via
Communication No. 891, dated December 14, 2007, authorizing the County of Hawaii to enter
into amulti-year contracts for the electronic and printed legal research for the Office of the
Corporation Counsel.
Pursuant to Section 10-11, Hawaii County Charter, any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year must be approved by
resolution.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 470-08,
recommends its adoption.
