AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983
(2005 EDITION) RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC.
BE TI' ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, division 1, section 24-256, schedule 4 (30 mile per
hour limit), subsection (f) Kona, item (3), of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 edition), is
amended to read as follows:
(3) Mamalahoa Highway, from a point four thousand one hundred feet
in a southerly direction from the terminus of the State Highway at
Honalo to the terminus of the State Highway at Captain Cook.
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 1, section 24-255, schedule 3 (25 mile per
hour limit), subsection (f) Kona, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 edition), is amended by
adding the following, to be appropriately numbered and to read:
Mamalahoa Hi~hwav from the terminus of the State HiQhway at
Honalo to a point four thousand one hundred feet in a southerly
direction.
SECTION 3. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the
underscoring need not be included.
SECTION 4. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person
or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to
this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declazed to be severable.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
