Your Committee on Public Safety and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Communication No. 912,
reports as follows:
Communication No. 912, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated December 24, 2007, submits for
confirmation the appointment of Carolle Brulee-Wilson and the re-appointment of Penny Fox to the Hawai `i
County Veterans Advisory Commission.
Carolle Brulee-Wilson worked at the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park from 2000 to 2003 and has been a
member of the DAV since 2003. She states that she is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed,
she will serve a term to end on December 31, 2012.
Penny Fox was a member of the U.S. Army from 1990 to 1999. She is currently a member of the Hawai i
County Veterans Advisory Commission, and her term expired on December 31, 2007. She is eligible to
serve another term to expire on December 31, 2012.
Pursuant to Section 13-4(b), Hawai`i County Code, members of the Hawaii County Veterans Advisory
Commission shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council.
Your Committee on Public Safety and Parks and Recreation recommends confirmation of [he appointment of
Carolle Brulee-Wilson and the re-appointment of Pcnny Fox to the Hawaii County Veterans Advisory
Commission.
