The Honorable Aaron Chung
Councilman
County Building
25 Aupuni St.
Hilo, Hawaii 96720
Dear Councilman Chung:
As a board member of Hawaii Island Adult Care, I am asking for your aid in our
application to the County of Hawaii for funding. Because of continued drastic financial
cutbacks, from Federal and State funds for our financially needy seniors attending our center, we
need your support.
Our agency has a proven track record of 21 years of excellence, serving the frail elderly,
phycisally /mentally challenged adults and persons with Alzheimer's disease in our community,
here on the Big Island. Our programs allow these individuals to continue to live at home or with
family, rather than being institutionalized.
With your backing, the valuable services that Hawaii Island Adult Care provides: our
day care program, in-home chore services /respite (Senior Helpers) and caregiver support to our
community can continue. The essential funding /support, would allow HIAC to proceed
successfully in making a difference in the lives of the individuals and families we serve.
Sincerely,
<
