RESOLUTION NO. 532 08
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) FOR A NEW SIGN RENAMING ISAAC HALE
PARK TO THE ISAAC KEPO`OKALANI HALE BEACH PARK.
WHEREAS, the family of Isaac Hale wishes for the late Mr. Hale's full name to be
incorporated into the name of the park; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation finds that it is an appropriate time
to rename the park, given that the park has recently been expanded and undergone several
million dollars worth of improvements; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation to be used for the purchase of a new sign renaming the
Isaac Hale Park to Isaac Kepo`okalani Hale Beach Park; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
