Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 487-08, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 487-08, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication
No. 926, dated January 7, 2008, authorizes the acceptance of a Chlorine Recovery Vessel with
wheels and two (2) Chlorine Manuals to the Hawaii Fire Department donated by Phoenix V
LLC, dba BEI; total estimated value of $4,772.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the
County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
A letter of appreciation will be sent to Mr. Geoffrey B. Lauer, Manager Hawaii Operations,
Phoenix V LLC, dba BEI Hawaii, 430 Kekuanao`a Street, Hilo, Hawaii 96720, acknowledging
this generous donation.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 487-08,
and recommends its adoption.
