Your Committee on Envirorunental Management, to which was referred Communication
No. 911 reports as follows:
Communication No. 911 from Mayor Harry Kim, dated December 24, 2007, requests
confirmation of the appointments of Stanley A. Boren and Steven Okoji to the County of
Hawaii Environmental Management Commission.
Both individuals were unable to make it to the Environmental Management Committee meeting
and were excused by the Chair. Both individuals will be present for their confirmation by the
full Council.
Pursuant to Article V, Section 6-5.5, Hawaii County Charter, there shall be an Environmental
Management Commission, consisting of nine members. One member shall be a resident of each
Council District and shall be appointed by the mayor with the approval of the council.
Your Committee on Environmental Management recommends the confirmation of Stanley A.
Boren and Steven Okoji to the County of Hawaii Environmental Management Commission.
