This is to acknowledge receipt of your annual progress report dated January 22, 2008 in
compliance with Condition L of Change of Zone Ordinance No. 04-27, which amended
Ordinance No. 93-100. The effective date of Ordinance No. 04-27 is March 18, 2004. As a
reminder, construction of the proposed industrial development shall be completed within five
years of the effective date of Ordinance No. 04-27, which is March 18, 2009 (Condition Q. We
will forward a copy of the report to the Planning Commission and the Hawaii County Council for
their information.
In reviewing the submitted report, we would appreciate that future reports address each condition
separately and specifically. In reference to conditions that you have complied with, please
include specific references to actions, reports, letters, dates, etc. If possible, please include
letters that verify compliance with a specific condition as an exhibit.

RE: Progress Report for Edward K. & Dianne S. Hirayama
Office/Warehouse located at 804 Hinano Street, Hilo
Tax Map Key No. 2-2-50:8
Change Zone Ordinance No. 93-100 (REZ 745)
We are hereby submitting our annual progress report which is due on
March 18. 2008. Our office and warehouse has been built and final inspection
and Certificate of Occupancy has been completed. Per, Pete Hoffmann,
Chair, Hawaii County Council, letter dated November 8, 2007, the
approximately 500 square feet of real property located in Waiakes, South Hilo,
Lot 6-13 (TMK (3)2-2-050:008) has been accepted in Resolution 315-
07/Communication No. 621, from the County of Hawaii.
The following conditions has been met as required by the County of Hawaii
Planning Department. Improvements to the Hinano Street access and
roadway transition area and curb-gutter-sidewalk has been constructed. As
required, the installation of the streetlight was done, and connection was
made by the Department of Public Works and is in good working order. No
drainage improvements were required. Connection to the Wastewater
System was completed.
