Subject: Honoka'a Arena COUNT', ' i H aN ',I]
Aloha Councilman Yagong,
As a Big Island resident for several generations, I have witnessed the constant encroachment on, and loss of,
open areas that would have provided the open space and opportunities for our public to have well deserved
appropriate facilities for our activities for our families, children and community.
The opportunity to expand the Honoka'a arena could also expand the communiy's opportunity for broader uses
and events. It is critical that this chance to act before it's too late, to give our public more space for rodeo, horse
shows, roping, etc. This is one of the main acitivities of our Hamakua coast and Waimea areas. Our population
continues to grow and our need for space to accommodate these acitivities also needs to grow.
Thank you for your support on this matter,
Aloha,
Barbara and Ian Haight (and family)
P.S. I'm sure I can speak for all of my family in Kealakekua and Hilo as well.
